Itinerary
Your safari kicks off in the morning as you depart from your hotel in Dar es Salaam to Nyerere National Park. Upon arrival, you will embark on a relaxing afternoon boat trip along the Rufiji River. This leisurely journey offers a chance to admire the scenic river views and observe hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species. The tranquil experience is enhanced by the beautiful sunset as you cruise along the river, creating a peaceful and serene atmosphere.
Begin your day with a leisurely breakfast at the camp before embarking on a sunrise bushwalking tour. These walks offer a unique opportunity to appreciate nature up close and discover the smaller species and the surrounding bush environment. Enjoy a peaceful exploration of the natural reserve during the 2-3 hour walk and transfer to Mikumi National Park with lunch on the way. Head to the accommodation for a night’s sleep at Mikumi.
After breakfast start the journey to Ruaha National Park with a stopover in Iringa Town and Isimila Stone Age visit. Arrive and stay at Ruaha.
After breakfast, you will have a full day game drive to explore the beauty of the park, which is full of rocky, kopjes, and ancient baobab trees.
A walking tour in Ruaha National Park offers a unique and immersive experience in Tanzania's largest national park. Unlike traditional game drives, where you observe wildlife from the comfort of a vehicle, a walking tour allows you to explore the bush on foot, accompanied by a trained and knowledgeable guide. During the walking safari, you'll have the opportunity to appreciate the smaller details of the ecosystem, such as animal tracks, bird calls, and the diverse plant life. Your guide will provide insights into the park's ecology, animal behavior, and conservation efforts, offering a deeper understanding of the natural world.
